Skittles seems to be improving a bit. She's more alert and moves around more. She's certainly not back to her old self, but at least she can walk the length of the diningroom table without having to lie down. :( She attacked the napkin holder yesterday, so I know she's feeling better :) (only a ferret-mom would be happy to have her napkins shredded) She *fights* me when I have to feed her or give her the medicine. She REALLY hates the medicine. It must taste pretty bad, because she literally shudders after I give it to her. She isn't as dehydrated (I assume that's getting better because she doesn't have the runs so much) but I'm still worried about her. She sniffs at her food dish but that's about it. She doesn't seem to be drinking as much, and I'm not sure this is good or bad. I'm hoping to get her more healthy (and hydrated) and take her back to see if the vet has any idea what's wrong with her. If it's an infection, she should be back to normal eventually. I hope. Neither of my other (young) ferrets have shown signs of being sick. They miss Skittles and when I put her in with them for a few minutes last night they *both* set to cleaning her ears and everything else. :) (Skittles was looking longingly at her old home so I let her visit a few minutes) This is really tough, trying to keep her fed when I'm working full time. And it's hard to keep fighting her to feed her. She gets so upset and hides under my hair (I end up with chicken babyfood on my clothes and in my hair :\ ) --Barb-- tired and worried [Posted in FML issue 1114]
