To Jill concerning the tissue samples:

Jill - the results of what the ferret had - a tumor in it's spleen and
parvo - are not from me. I am hoping to get a look at those slides or samples
of tissue. Parvo is an enteric disease of dogs which ferrets cannot contract.
A tumor of the spleen is very unlikely in such a young ferret. I would suggest
that it is instead the producation of blood cells in the spleen, which we
commonly see in young ferrets and is considered a normal finding.

I talked with your vet this A.M. and she relayed the results to me. It
seems that a M.D. read out these slides instead of a veterinary pathologist, so
I would not trust the accuracy of these results.

Now we have to work on getting a copy of the slides or blocks for me to
get a look at....
