Carla - All the ferrets at our home are not caged so I don't spend time cleaning individual cages. Here's how I do it - 5-5:30 a.m. Early bird ferrets start waking up, rolling and bouncing all over, including on top of me 5:45 More ferrets waking, bouncing and seeing if I'm awake (noses in my face, mouth on toes, etc) 5:50 Alarm goes off and more ferrets bouncing, set snooze and go back to bed to play with ferrets 6:00 Stumble over many bouncy ferrets to kitchen to get their "special" breakfast of Honey Nut Tasteoos, canned Kal Kan Chicken and Rice, and watered down Friskies and Whiskas, let dogs out 6:05 Refill all free style food dishes (Iams, Science Diet, Pro Plan) and water dishes and bottles 6:15 Race through house cleaning litter boxes while being chased by hordes of hopping and bopping ferrets, let dogs in 6:25 Feed Prissy and Teddy Bear their special liquid recipe and play with ferrets while they eat 6:35 Take tumbling ferrets out of shower and start water 6:37 Take tumbling ferrets out of shower (again!) and turn on shower 6:37 1/2 Get in shower and Put ferrets out of shower! 6:50 Get dressed while ferrets try to save me from those monstrous clothes! 6:55 Play with ferrets and refill dog bowls, put dogs out for day 7:05 Pick up keys and race to door 7:05 1/2 Toss ferrets onto bed and run for door 7:06 - 7:10 Toss more ferrets on bed, try for door again! 7:11 Finally get out door, go to work Evening 5:30 Feed "special" supper (same as breakfast), ferrets are just waking from afternoon (all day?) nap 5:40 Clean litter boxes 5:50 Refill all food and water bowls and bottles 6:00 Feed Prissy and Teddy 6:15 Clean house with help from tons of ferrets (sweep, mop, replace books on shelf, etc.) 7 - 12:30 Ferret Time (playing, ear cleaning, nail clipping, etc.)! (Every other night friends come over to play with ferrets for several hours - makes sure everyone gets the attention they need and crave. These people actively search out ferrets to play with!)
