I am a new subscriber to FML, and I would like to say hello to everyone!
I have three ferrets: Jezebel (1 yr 7mo); Salome (8 mo); and Percephone
(5 mo). Jezebel and Solame are sables, and Percephone is an albino.
Unfortunately, Jezebel was born with a congenital defect. I not sure
of the medical name, but she has cysts on her kidneys. After an exploratory
surgury last August, my vet told me that she probably would'nt live
much more that 6 more months. She is thin, however continues to be the
most playful/friendly ferret out of the three. I was wondering if anyone
has shared a similar experience with their ferret? Also, I bought Percephone
when she was around 6 weeks old. I have tried since that time to litter-
box train her. My efforts have not been real successful. She seems
to "go" wherever she maybe, and in the middle of what she may be doing.
This seems unusual to me. Could this be a sign of a problem? Any ideas
on training? I am pretty frustrated, as I have tried everything that I know.
Pat.
