Hi everyone! Just a brief re-cap of who I am. We have 4 ferrets. Two 7 month old female sables, one 4 month old female albino and one 3 month old female sable, our newest addition. Had her for a couple of weeks now. Everything is working out fine. All aggression has worked its way out between the new baby (Ayla) and our older female (Salt). Everyone gets along like true sisters. Here's where the question comes in. The other night as I was putting them to bed, Salt headed to the hammock on her own. I noticed the baby was slowing down a bit, so I plopped her in the hammock next to Salt. As I hunted the apartment down for the other two, I snuck a peak in the hammock and noticed the cutest sight! Ayla was laying on top of a curled up Salt, with her paws around Salt's face and she was sucking on Salt's ear. At first I thought she was cleaning her or nibbling on her ear, but as I watched, she was suckling on her ear! I've heard of kittens that suckle on anything they come across when they are weaned too early. Although it was adorable, is there anything to be concerned about? Or should I invest in a pacifier? ;-) Mish, Kenny Pepper Snowball Salt (why is my ear sopping wet??) Ayla (I don't know what you're talking about, go back to sleep) [Posted in FML issue 1091]
