The other day after shopping I left a bunch of paper packaging
out for my wife's smelly weasel to play with. Later my wife,
Vicki, recalled reading in the list about wadding up paper on
the floor and shouting "NO!" to break her new pet from jumping
down from her shoulders. All the way to the floor seemed too far
for little Gigit to fall, even into nice soft paper. The foot of
our bed looked safe but still far enough to get the message
across. Up went Gigit on the shoulders who needed no
encouragement to leap. "NO!" yelled Vicki. Plop went the
ferret. Then the ferret shuffle and a quick trip back to ask
Vicki to pick her up again so she could do it all again. This
cycle went on many times! Each time was just a little more fun
than the time before. I don't blame Gigit for not taking Vicki
seriously. - Do they take anything seriously? - If someone was
laughing at me that hard, why should I care if she yells louder
each time I jump?
