I have a question for the Doctors. I was going through my vaccination records today and I noticed that apparently the mail order company had substituted Galaxy-D for my order for Fromm-D last summer. I never noticed it because I had no idea that they were discontinuing Fromm-D and the packaging is exactly the same. I had vaccinated two litters of kits with Galaxy-D by mistake. I'm going to revaccinate them with Fervac-D and I was wondering if 1 shot will be enough or should I give them a booster in 3 weeks? (They all received 3 shots of Galaxy-D and they're six months old now). Also, does anyone have the address for Solvay? I am going to voice my displeasure over the way they handled the vaccine switch. The mail order companies I spoke with have told me that they said the vaccines were the same only the name had been changed and that's why they were substituting without telling the customers. I also plan on writing Omaha Vaccine who sent me the vaccine without even mentioning the substitution. It would be different if the packaging had been changed but it is EXACTLY the same. I also run a shelter and will have to contact everyone who adopted a ferret or purchased a kit from me this past summer. I am not happy about this to say the least. Thanks in advance for any information. Cindy Sooy [Posted in FML issue 1050]
