Hi all - Well, on a recent visit to a local pet store, I came across what I considered to be a pretty good deal - a large cage of the type that pet stores typically keep kittens in. It's 36" wide x 24" deep x 48" high, and has two doors that appear to be ferret-proof. It's pretty well constructed too - it's designed to be collapsible, but unlike most collapsible cages I've seen, this is of a fairly thick wire that's covered with a black enamel - no more bending or oxidation. It's also on casters (nice touch for the size of it), and has a linoleum (sp?) floor on the bottom (nice for "accidents"). All this for $169.00 - not too shabby. Anyways - enough of a description - you get the idea. The reason I'm writing is to see if any of you FML's care to take a stab at helping me create a new home for my fuzzies. I only have two (Britt and Deanna), so there's a _lot_ of space to work with in this thing. It's an empty cage at this point (i.e. no levels), so I'll be making those as well. So, at any rate, I'm looking for any ideas on what to put into it - this can be anything from how to set up the levels to ideas for play areas - I'm open to anything at this point. One thing I have thought of is using some clothes dryer tubing (the flexible plastic stuff) to create a small tunnel section (it's a _lot_ easier to work with than PVC). But, like I said, post or mail me your ideas - both my fuzzies and I will appreciate them. :) Dave (..and Britt & Deanna) [Posted in FML issue 1029]
