Hi everyone, Tammy and company here. I went to a pet store yesterday evening to get food for the kids and was horrified with what I found. Please if anyone is familiar with this and can ease my mind, please do. First, it is my experience that small rubber balls commonly called "superballs" are a great hazard for ferrets. Jake found one when he was 6 months old and destroyed it only to set me into a frenzie looking for all the pieces to make sure he did not swallow any. Second, as I understand from others here, foam is a definate no, no. Well my point, in the pet store they had a special place for ferret stuff and I found a whole section of toys, labeled specificall Ferret Toys, with a picture of a ferret. These toys included " superballs" and foam balls and various other balls that I didn't have a problem with except they looked very low quality and I wouldn't have paid a $.25 for any of them. The company used a logo of VIP "very important pets" and their name is Vo Toys they are out of Harrison, NJ. That was the only info on the packaging. I was very upset to find such toys packaged specially for ferrets and became very irate with the sales person ( who was not a fault and agreed totally with my anger). I plan to research the company a little more and write a not so nice but very informative letter to them and possibly the pet store to stop carrying these products. As I said before, please, if anyone knows anything about this that I don't let me know, I would feel better knowing others opinion on this matter before I go half cocked complaining to the company. Thank you for your time, Tammy and company Jake, Ozzy, Randy, Zak, Sammy and Sunny [Posted in FML issue 1001]
