Hi All, I have very unfortunate news. My roommate and I are moving next week (9/23) and our new landlord discovered our ferrets (from a hysterical cleaning lady who freaked out over them and went right to the owner) and won't allow us to have them, although other pets are okay (yea right). The problem is our current apartment has already been rented for the end of the month and we have already paid first and last on the new place. I am not sure what to do. I am going to look elswhere for a place to live but its very limited in our area to some degree, not to mention we only have two weeks and no money as most of it has been spent and will be lost if we cancel our move. Does anyone have any ideas? Anyone need two very lovable ferrets? About 4 months old, male and female, neutered, descented, one albino the other a medium brown with a black 'zorro type mask' look to her face. They are very healthy, happy, have had rabies and distemper shots. I have a 3 level cage and lots of accessories. I love them dearly and am totally lost. If I could find them a good home I would feel better. I am not sure what options I may have as time is tight. Our new manager has been told by the owner not to give us our keys until the ferrets are gone. I am not even sure if there are any shelters around. I live in Dover New Hampshire. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. You can e-mail me at: [log in to unmask] 603-862-3003 work or 603-742-8808 home Thanks for any help. I'm very unhappy both with myself and the new owners for getting in this bind. Its complicated by my roommate/lover who really likes the new place and is not happy about looking elsewhere. Its a bad timing all the way around. Jonathan Adams [Posted in FML issue 0953]
