(couldn't think of a better subject...Can't remember the poster's name, etc.) Yes, I think that day/weekend was an aberration. My two ferrets are definately not biters...The male bites, usually playfully, but not as you decribed Otto being...The female doesn't bite at all. Except the male ferret when playing. My ferrets are from two different pet stores, and I believed their living conditions to be adequate, except the one place used cedar bedding for their kits, something I wouldn't do. The female I have was only at the pet store to be sold because one of their workers owned her and was leaving for school. Both are doing quite well, even though my husband thought the male was dead earlier...Just a very sound sleeper, apparently. Guess all I'm trying to say is, try again...There are too many of us on this list that have had GOOD experiences with ferrets for the situations you encountered to be the norm. I cannot recommend places to go, I'm not in the area...If you're ever in the Cleveland area... Alayne... (with special help from Trouble and Avi) -- Alayne M. Whaley ! [log in to unmask] !
