To Jan Lovell and Dr. Williams Were those numbers for proteins and fats in terms of wet or dry solids? I would assume the dry powder; however, the milk replacer that I used for an orphan pup last fall stated that its percentages were in terms of the wet mixture. That would change the total percentage of protein in the mixture since it's by weight..? Also, my three ferrets are all almost 3 years old. I have been feedings them Iams kitten until now. Should I switch to the regular cat food in order to cut down on their fat intake? They are all almost back to their normal weights after a 20-30% winter gain. My vet recommends only Science diet for everything--my dog, cats, and ferrets and nothing else (since he represents that brand and that is all he sells in his practice) so he is not much of a help. Personally, I nor my ferrets can stand the stuff. Amy Cada [Posted in FML issue 0752]
