My baby, Frieda-Weasel, died two days ago; I had to have her put to
sleep because she was in continuous insulin shock from insulinoma, which
she could never come out of. Of all the beings I've ever met, this one
surely deserves an epitaph, and this is it:
*****************************************************

Frieda-Weasel, my little girl, who just had to be put to sleep, had a far
tighter hold of my heart than I ever realized. She was the most valorous,
valiant, spontaneously affectionate being I've ever known, including even my
cats, who are far and away the best of beings, true Aristoi, if ever there
were. She never gave in, never gave up, never surrendered, and never stopped
embracing life. Oh, how I miss her! She was the essence of what freedom is
all about.
I know no one else can ever replace her -- but still, I miss her so! I am
hoping so much I can find somebody new, preferably two, for each other's
company, to come into my home and put some light into the dark place where
she isn't any more. Thank you so much for helping me in this!
