This morning I watched a show called "Dr. Bernie's Pet Connection" (I
think - I just blanked on the name). One of the segments was on a group
called CARE - Children and Animals Relating to the Elderly. It showed
several children with hearing problems and they were visiting elderly
people and brought pets along. There were rabbits, hamsters, I think I
saw a cat, and a couple of times they showed a young girl with a ferret.
It might have been a female ferret, but it looked pretty big to me -
possibly a male.

I was glad to see them showing a child handling a ferret and handing the
ferret to an older person - shows how *dangerous* ferrets are if a child
can control it.
