We have two female silver-mitts -- one year and six months. At this point they are both unspayed and scented (not descented :). We are not interested in breeding, so sooner or later we need to get these females spayed. Here come the questions: 1) When should I get the females spayed? 2) How will I know when they are going into heat? These two are a riot. Whenever I need a good laugh, all I have to do is get the sharks out. Their best routine has to be the "Attack of the Killer Tubeworm." I have these long tube socks that I used to play soccer in. They love dragging them around and wrestling with them. One day my wife got the great idea of putting one of the ferrets into the sock. So she opened it up, stuffed a very willing ferret into the sock, and layed it on the floor. It was too funny. The ferret was thrashing around like a wounded snake. It looked like a big tubeworm to me. Then the other ferret saw her, ran over, and pounced on the tubeworm. She grabbed it, bit it, chewed it, and drug it around. It was so funny and so unfair. ____________________________________________________________ \ \ > James P.
