John Rosloot from Regina visited me today and brought his two ferrets. Unfortunately, Gila decided to be anti-social, so we had to keep them separate. By the end of the evening, however, she was at least sniffing at Bud and Cassie through the cage rather than snapping at them! :) That is some progress. What a difference in size! I would say Cassie is an average female and she is almost twice the size of Gila. A friend stopped by while John was here, so I introduced him. He always called Cocoa (my late ferret) a furry slinky and said the same thing again. Too bad he didn't stick around this evening - Cassie coming down the stairs did indeed look like a slinky with fur, although thankfully she didn't tumble end over end! In other news, Gila is getting a little friendlier - hasn't bitten my face for a couple of weeks! :{ She is still very skittish, but she is very playful which is nice to see. She bites a little too hard when playing, but at least she plays. Only three more weeks. sniff, sniff. maybe I should get another one after I give Gila back. Even with her anti-social tendencies, she is good company. Inez -- "I am likely to be a little bit wiser than he in this very thing: that whatever I do not know, I do not even suppose I know."
