Thanks to those who replied concerning Cleo(ferret) and Missy(cat). The two are getting along famously. Cleo has taken to licking/grooming Missy. Missy loves this, purrs and snuggles up to Cleo. They fight like puppies sometimes. Cleo is so much happier now that she has so much room to play in and her cage has been retired indefinately. She is much calmer now that she doesn't have to spend any time caged up and now that she has a playmate to wear her out. I am still having very much trouble getting Cleo to use a litter box. She has her own litterbox that the cat does not use but neither does Cleo. Cleo goes potty right outside of the cats litterbox. This is really getting to be a pain to have to clean up several times a day and the smell is terrible. I clean the whole area with clorox clean-up trying to get id of the smell... what can I do to discourage her from going there and using her litterbox. I have managed to catch her a couple times in the act and put her in the litter box but she never goes there on her own. Any suggestions would be helpful. I would hate to have to confine Cleo because she can't be trained. Thanks, Amy & Cleo & Missy -- [Posted in FML issue 0559]
