Chere - The GCFA shelter is doing fine. We're on high grouns and far inland from most of the rising water. Mary VD is. likewise, not in danger of flooding. Haven't heard from the East Iowa Ferret Assn, but I'm gonna try to place a call tonight when I get to the shelter. I think their shelter is in someone's home so they might be OK. If we can help, we sure will. Fortunately for us, the only flooding we've been experiening of late has been the flood of rumours and innuendo in the wake of Mary's resignation as shelter director. Fortunately, the majority of the people hearing these rumours have had the decency to call and get the straight facts on the matters and I have posted in clarifications in rec.pets as well. The Ferret Show will go on as planned on September 11th. We haven't even sent out the newsletter with the announcement/registration forms and we've already got our first 5 entries. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hope things start looking up real soon. Geri - There will be Fun Matches for ferrets at the Greater Chicago Ferret Asson. 6th annual Greatest Ferret Show on Earth - Sept 11th at DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton IL. I'll have full info in a later post. Chip - Let me know when you're ready and I'll tell the sysop at I-Can to set up a file for you to poll. I also have a BBS in NC that will soon be carrying it and acting as a gateway to WWIVnet. Looking into a possible gateway to Internet or GEnie. (Probably Genie since Internet already has a great ferret outlet. Inez- Did you tell your vet about Fervac-D? It's approved especially for ferrets. It's from United Vaccines. Thats all for now ...
