He's the one handling the legislation, and can answer all of your
questions.  He's also working on a list of ferret-friendly vets, and
has a network of CA ferret shelters/rescues that work to shuttle
ferrets out of CA.  I don't know if any will adopt in-state, though.
They fought long and hard to be legally allowed to even rescue
the ferrets, I doubt they would want to jeopardize that.

Oh, BTW, I believe that a CDFA membership is $25/yr.  I'm sure their
newsletter would be the best means of keeping up on the CA situation.
