Excerpts from mail: 14-Oct-92 Ferret List Issue 331 by Ferret Mailing List@ferr > up discussion of whether I'm doing the right thing or not. In order > to make it possible for people to speak their mind, I have come > up with a way for you to "post" anonymously if you wish. If it's I don't feel a need to be anonymous. I think you're doing just fine. I like having rules (although I'd never seen them before, but I joined within the last year and probably missed them). You might avoid complaints of dictator by listing the rules occasionally. It's *your* show, I don't mind any rules at all, as long as I know what they are. Otherwise it might feel "arbitrary". [In all honesty, those "rules" have never been written down before. Since those issues never came up until now, I just never thought it worthwhile writing them down.] If I wanted a completely unmoderated discussion, I could just use the existing nets. [Which is what everybody should keep in mind. Rec.pets and Rachel Dafni Christi (aka Roger David Carrasso) come to mind - one of the benefits of moderation. Nancy? I cringed when I saw you fall for rdc's baiting. But it was too late for me to warn you...] Just my 2 cents. --Barb-- [Posted in FML issue 0332]
