Ferrets are definitely not illegal in Illinois. That is where I used to
live when I had mine. I chose to have a friend take her when I moved to Calif-
ornia because they are illegal here. I'm not sure about Indiana but I think
they are legal there. If you live near Chicago, I could recommend a pet store
that usually has a good selection in the northwest suburbs.
