A recent posting by tigger included some ferret resources. Some additional ferret resources: The California Domestic Ferret Association P.O. Open one end of a bar soap package, remove the soap, and toss the empty package in their cage. Any cardboard tube about 2" in diameter or greater is a fun toy. Not so cheap thrills... We bought the big orange ball from Ferret World and toss in the old ping pong ball occasionally to amuse the guys. We bought some 8' sections of 4" diameter plastic pipe from a hardware outlet. Instant tunnel. Actually, this pipe was cheap. There is a rubber foot squeaky toy that we use to recall the animals. The sound drives them crazy and they come to it instantly. We keep it handy in the event they ever get outside (but we take great pains to ensure that never happens). [My sister-in-law has a rubber squeaky "newspaper" which is very effective at calling any ferret.] [Posted in FML 0055]
