I have a ferret (Roxy) who is 7 years old and she has a black tooth and bad breath. The discolored tooth is one of her fangs and it has been black for at least two years. I noticed the bad breath a few months ago. The gum isn't inflamed and she never paws at her mouth or acts like it bothers her. She eats soft treats and she gets gravy. I never see her eating kibble, but she doesn't have to. In case it matters, she is adrenal and has had two des implants so far. My questions are what should I do about the tooth? Is it worth having it pulled? What makes it black? If it should be pulled, what is the recovery? Thank you in advance!
