Cathy/Trina, I'm not surprised that you'd take your time and try to push emotion aside to think the information over that you gathered about ball pythons. Personally, i am glad that you apologized to the young man. He just seemed like someone who honestly loves animals and as I said, I do personally know how reptile peoples feelings get hurt and literally ever day. Even men (they tell me). I'm glad you are not apologizing for being so careful and having high standards in regards to adoption. Now that I myself have sat back and thought things out, and gave the most balanced and careful information to you that I could, I wanted to give you and others my very personal opinion. Probably my biggest fault is I am overly cautious. I want to be careful that I don't misinform people. Because of that I do hold back on some information and almost always with hold personal opinion. Sometimes any opinion. Put on top of that the fact that I want everyone to feel comfortable and to be happy, I dance around subjects. Way. Too. Much. So to the point now, once again I dance around! My own, personal opinion is that a ball python would never hurt a ferret outside of the scenario than if you have a unique individual and one that is cornered. And then, like I said the bites aren't bad. On the flip side, I cannot assure to a snake owner that a ferret would never, unintentionally or not, hurt their ball python. Despite all of that, I feel it's very safe to own a ball python with a ferret in the house, much safer than with many other types of pets. Like I said, that is not "official" advice. Thats just my personal advice coming from "Wolfy".
