Hello.....I read your message on the FML and as I am both a shelter mom and someone who has sent gifts to other shelter ferrets and never heard if they got the gifts I understand your frustration. As a shelter mom, I planned to ALWAYS send thank you notes because I felt that they should be sent. After several years of very late thank you's getting sent I came to utilize email instead. It is quick and easy from my viewpoint and I do want the person who sent gifts to know they were received and that I appreciate them. I do not think it is unreasonable to ask them to simply email you that they received your gifts. You may want to email them that they are on the way, then ask them to simply respond to your email that they received the gifts. If you do not hear back, you might try asking again, it is possible that your message might have gone to junk mail, check your junk mail too, as I have had messages go in there. I have actually had some wonderful correspondence and made friends with some, not all of our Santas, I enjoy hearing about their lives and their ferrets. Each one that I let know that the gifts arrived are so happy to hear that that it is worth it. [Posted in FML 7988]
