The tip about storing water is a good one, except for one thing.

I used to work with fiberglass, and believe me: under no circumstances
should a fiberglass container be used to store consumables for humans
or animals.

Fiberglass hardener contains furans which carcinogenic and also
chemically toxic. (Note: I am referring here to the *CLASS* of
chemicals known as furans, not simply "furan" as described in
Wikipedia, though it too is carcinogenic.)

While it is easy to argue that it becomes inert when the resin is
hardened, that is more an assumption than established fact. Not to
mention that traces, drips, spills of the hardener can happen during
the manufacturing process.

Just remember: "furo, not furan". Don't put the two together.
