Hi! Just a little happy update. The traffic on the Ferrets Magazine online website is showing growth. It's not spectacular, but its good news! Thank you for helping and visiting often to help out the Magazine. It's paying off. Its' bad enough that Ferrets and now Ferrets USA and Critters is out of print, but loosing the website would be so catastrophic for ferrets in genearl. You have to remember that most ferret owners are nothing like us. They need help. Their ferrets need help. And without those mags on the shelf where will they turn to? The Internet. And as you know there is an abundance of poor information out there. The only place they can go to where all of the experts publish their articles together in one place is Ferrets Magazine on the SmallAnimalChannel.com. It also serves as a social network with a forum, clubs, and offering owners their own little web page of sorts. Please, keep it up. The extension ends in December, but it takes every month to build growing web traffic. Putting up a link to this wonderful site on your own web sites, at other web sites, and/or in your signatures would help. Underneath the index on the left side of the page is a place to sign up for the free newsletter. This would serve as a reminder for you to visit. The one thing that has helped me the most to remember to visit is by putting it up on my Favorites Bar of my IE browser. I have my email, my FB, message boards and the Ferrets magazine. Every time I sign on, I go through what I need to do and see that tab/link above and "click click click". You can do that by going to the web site, clicking on the star up on your right hand corner of your browser and select "Add to Favorites Bar" in the drop down menu. If you have no bar up, place your curser up on the tip top of your screen above you tabs, right click, and make sure the Favorites Bar option is checked. The web site: http://www.smallanimalchannel.com/ferrets-magazine/ Here's some fun "clickings" lol. This weeks "Ferret Wish" <http://www.smallanimalchannel.com/ferrets-magazine/ferret-wishes/hide-and-seek-120727.aspx> Wicked interesting news article about the USDA proposal to regulate internet pet sales. <http://www.smallanimalchannel.com/critter-news/2012/05/11/usda-proposal-could-regulate-internet-pet-sales.aspx> Thanks again ... from the ferrets, Wolfy ps, feel free to cross post of course [Posted in FML 7507]
