Hi The toys you will want to use will need to be tailored to the likes and dislikes of each ferret. I find different ferrets enjoy different toys. Some things you could try include; bags (cloth, plastic, paper), boxes, dishes filled with water and ice cubes, piles of blankets or towels, cat-teaser toys, babble balls, tunnels (I use dryer hosing) and finally you! You are the best toy for your ferrets to play with :) Some things for in the cage can include crinkle sacs, plush animal toys, hard plastic jingle balls. Ferrets also enjoy a blanket half stuffed through the bars of a cage so they can drag it in/dig at it. Another good option would be to take your ferrets on frequent walks. Get a harness that fits them well and take them out into the world. I find that always get my guys stimulated and eventually tuckered out. I'm curious as to why you think the room is not ferret-proofable. Feel free to email me and I will be happy to help you, flame free :) Beth [Posted in FML 7477]
