I for one love hearing the stories about how these kids have faired over the past 5yrs. If I had room at the time I would have taken some into my rescue. I did however attend and judge a show that year in NJ put on by Concerned Ferret Owners. I judged many of these babies and was suprised how well mannered most were that were in Tamara's care. Out of the 15-20 I judged ONLY one bit me and he was one who was adopted previously a from Tamara. It was and still is beyond me HOW a well know breeder could live with himself letting his ferrets live in those horrid conditions and how other known breeders could have even done kit trades with him knowing the conditions their babies that they had loves, nurtered and cared for would be living in after the trade was over. I comend ALL the rescues, fosters and adoptors who were invoved with DMK kids. To my knowledge, this was the largest ferret rescue ever done in the US. I personally welcome those who still have DMK kids to share their stories from then to now with the ferret community. Debi [Posted in FML 7397]
