Am I the >only one that can't view their pages??? I ran it through the HTML validator at validator.w3.org and got 291 html errors on that page. That's pretty bad. Firefox or Chrome are robust enough browsers to display the page anyway, but if you are using an older browser (especially an old version of IE), the browser may give up and not display at all. You could try a different browser, but the real solution would be for the Ferret Magazine folks to run the validator and clean up the page. Not hard to do -- the validator gives a line-by-line description of the errors. (Of course, you have to be comfortable editing html code). But change browsers and see how that goes. Chrome is relatively lightweight. -Claire ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 09 Feb 2012 23:46:53 -0800 From: Lonny Eachus <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: Ferret Magazine There are a number of different problems that could cause you to not receive that web page. I am a professional web developer, and I am used to dealing with such problems. Send me an email, maybe I can help. Useful information to start with: Operating system: (Windows version, Mac OS X, Linux, something else?) Browser: (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, other?) Your type of Internet connection. (Dialup? DSL? Cable? Cable over WiFi? Via your phone? Etc.) Your ISP: Comcast, Time-Warner, somebody else? I don't promise anything, because trying to diagnose remotely is far from perfect. But I can try. Lonny Eachus ============ [Posted in FML 7332]
