Safety tips for dogs and cats often apply also to ferrets, and ferrets
have their own added tips.

If you like fruitcake remember that raisins, grapes and currents
in large enough amounts have cause acute renal (kidney) failure in
ferrets, dogs, and cats for an unknown reason with may possible causes
so far studied (Amounts may vary among individuals but some ferrets
have been killed or almost killed by as few as 7 raisins and ferrets
DO stash raisins).
