No airline will allow ferrets in the cabin. With that being the case
this time of year they can only be shipped cargo and not as checked
baggage. It's better for your friend to find someone to sit their
ferret.

I miss the good old days with Delta. Why they adopted Northwests pet
policy is beyond me.
