No, there have been no attempts to domesticate the black-footed ferret.
BFFs are extremely rare and endangered wild animals (there were once
only 18 left in existence), and all breeding efforts are geared towards
producing self-sustaining populations in the wild.

It's possible that the small genetic variation in the black-footed
ferret population (only 7 of those 18 animals successfully bred) would
make it very difficult if not impossible to domesticate the species. I
don't know why anyone would want to try.
