There is a ferret in one of the Connecticut Humane Societies who needs a home with an experienced ferret person. They estimate that she is 6 years old and believe she's going blind, or is already blind. She's also had recent diarrhea problems that are supposedly cleared up after some antibiotics. She has been there for a 'couple of months', according to them, and actually went to a home recently, only to be returned when they realized she couldn't see well, if at all. One way or another I will try to go and get her in the next couple of days, but my current situation makes it tough for me to take on another special needs ferret. If there is anyone in or near Connecticut who is experienced with special needs ferrets and who can provide a final forever home for this girl, who's apparently not had a very good life, then PLEASE contact me directly, and as soon as possible.
