We usually use Fludrocort crushed and given in Ferretone or Vivify
along with Prednisolone when this happens, but some prefer Percorten
injections about every 20 days with daily Prednisolone.

Addisons may not show up immediately but then the ferret will begin to
have problems days later and if not treated rapidly WILL die. It is a
fatal problem, but a ferret can go from actively dying to being normal
within hours if treated in time.

Some require a tiny bit of salt along with the diet till they have been
stabilized.
