not grinding.... when they grind (can be a sign of pain) it sounds like
human grinding... only smaller. more of a ratchety, crunching noise.
have had mine do that when they are 'past the insulinomic/pred, lupron
working, and now have the lymphoma n i'm 9 years old' stage. i take
them in to our Vet, for validation re not much else for quality of life
that can be done. have also had them grind when stressed by another
ferret being introduced that is NOT a kinder gentler roommate (hence
the 4 areas of house for 4 different groups of rescues) Have had them
grind when they have a tooth go bad, again trip to Vet to see what is
up. Squeaking... hmmm, enjoying their food?

Have had raccoons do that... just an animal eating kinda thing with
them. they do have a much larger repertoire of sounds tho.

When in doubt, if fuzzy loosing or gaining weight.. Vet.

good luck with your squeaker!

michelle n the gang o 9, missing far too many.
