Hello everyone, Earlier this week a very kind person brought 2 ferrets into the shelter that were found in a bag, in a dumpster behind a store! There's a male and female approximately 2 years old. We took them to the vet yesterday for a check up / rabies vaccine and other than ear mites (which were treated of course!) they were given a clean bill of health! When they first came in, they didn't use the litter box, hammock or even seem to know what the ramps were for! But now are using the box like pros, playing and wrestling and sleeping in their hammock! Anyway, they're now available for adoption! We named them Bonnie and Clyde and they could be adopted separately, but we'd love for them to go to a home with at least one other ferret so they can continue to discover the joys of all things ferret! As an added bonus, if you come by this weekend we're having a huge yard sale and a bake sale Saturday and Sunday! People have been VERY generous and there's definitely something for everyone. All proceeds go directly to care for the animals in the shelter. Hope to see you there! Leslie ----------------------------------- Animal Protection Center 1300 West Elm Street Ext.
