Deslorelin, Lupron and Trelstar are all related. The third is usually not used and has not been tested with Melatonin. Of the bunch deslorelin (which currently still needs to be imported) lasts the longest. Each of these works through a similar approach in the body. Melatonin works through a different approach and therefore can be given at the same time safely as deslorelin or Lupron. Melatonin is also produced naturally in the body by the pineal gland in response to darkness. The effect of using both at the same time is better than either alone. Also, melatonin has its own effect directly on hair/fur follicles. There is no reason to give both Lupron and deslorelin at the same time, though, since their mechanism is is so similar. I have to run out to a physicians' appointment, but look up posts using the message body box with the phrase Lupron and melatonin and deslorelin or Suprelorin and in the from box use AFERRETVET then leave the subject box empty at http://ferrethealth.org/archive/ Then click the search button and you should find the info you need with all of the specifics. If you don't then try individual searches for Lupron and melatonin and melatonin and deslorelin or Suprelorin with the same from line and you will find the details easily enough.
