Anyone with knowledge or experience of this please let me know. I have a 4year old that was diagnosed in april with, specifically, mitral valve disease and is on the full spectrum of treatment (pimobendon, enalapril, furosimide). He's been doing well for months but all of a sudden is limping to one side more and showing frog leg walking. Vet checked all his values of bloodwork and he is well within range of normal. They will be doing another echo and ekg to check heart function but I don't know what more that will tell us since his overall attitude activity level and appetite are all normal. He did injure his left leg last year (determined severe sprain/strain) and I am desperately hoping it is just a reoccurrence of pain or reinjury. i know the hind leg weakness can be a sign of the decreased oxygen and bloodflow but is there any treatment to help with this, drug or physical therapy (already trying antioxidants)? Could this be a side effect of any of the drugs? Thank you. Scott and Achilles [Posted in FML 6502]
