Melanie, When I lived in Dayton my vet was at the Miami Valley Animal Hospital 1550 E David Rd Kettering, OH 45429 937-434-8387 fax: 937-434-8180 www.mvahinc.com Dr. Alex Watts (exotics - also very popular for all animals) And then some of my experience there: The whole staff, including aides and the support staff are super friendly. I once had a mishap when Apple (my ferret) was feeling particularly sick and I was heading to the vet every few days. Apple let go of some really nasty explosive diarrhea in his carrier and the staff took it to the back and cleaned up both the carrier and Apple. So friendly and compassionate! Dr Watts is professional and very knowledgeable. He doesn't know everything about a raw diet but he does know that as long as its balanced it is appropriate to feed. He did not speak strongly for or against it, just wanted to make sure I had all the resources I needed to continue that type of diet. He takes notes of everything during exams. He answers questions very well and he never spoke rudely to me. He always gives his full attention and tries to squeeze you in between appointments for emergencies. For your first visit I suggest you call ahead to book an appointment with him and give plenty of time for paperwork and for you to "test the knowledge" :-D I strongly recommend him. Walk-in Hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-12pm Appointment Hours: Monday-Thursday 2-7pm Friday afternoon 2-6pm I have also gone to Apple Valley Animal Hospital 1221 Grange Hall Rd Beavercreek, OH 45430 937-426-6950 Vet: Theodore J Binzer, DVM ----Just the one time, then switched vets.---- I do NOT recommend them, I just didn't have a good first visit. If you want more info about either you can email me off list. -- Christina Pertz [log in to unmask] http://christina.pertz.googlepages.com http://pearspalette.etsy.com [Posted in FML 6433]
