Peekaboo and Pester spend most of their time out on the back porch to enjoy the fresh air in their daily 'romps'. I do bring them inside where it is cool in those overly warm days where they have a very high body temp to begin with. Yet inside they have taken to compete in the Olympic Sleeping Event which of course requires many many hours of intense training. And both of these little guys are doing exactly that. The hard part is to referee these feisty little critters. As they lay there exposing those massive incredibly rippling sleep muscles they tend to run interference with the other. Usually this will be done by sleeping curled up against another or balled up in a corner trying to out sleep the other. But this massive breathing from all the sleep effort flags me to call a foul where I will stop one and issue some TLC and petting. That stops the gnashing of teeth and ripping claw action of the Olympic Sleep event practice. So far there have been no injuries, has been close but nothing so far. So far the worst has been from Peekaboo who remained sleeping when I picked her up from the porch and carried her to the family room and placed her in the cage. She didn't know a thing until she woke up and found herself indoors, but she got the extra points for that round beating Pester by a large margin. So my money is on Peekaboo for winning the event.
