Hi All, I just wanted to update you on the 18 ferrets that were surrender to some wonderful kind heart souls. The have adopted 2 of the healthy kids. Yesterday, they took in the 3 adrenal kids for ultrasounds, implants, and glucose checks. The little boy Bobby, he has the boulder on his tail, is going in on the 2nd of April to have the tumor taken off his tail. Dr. Cameron said it was the largest tumor of that kind he had ever seen. He was amazed how well he gets around. Miracle and Striker are to adrenal for implant to help. They need surgeries within the next 3 months, and then Bobby, will need one too. All of the ferrets glucose were in the normal range, which makes me happy. The little boy, Blizzard, that i have is having seizures again. He foams at the mouth and then he scratches the roof and he is bleeding all over. He spent most of the day at the vet. His glucose is good 94 but I just went in and checked him and he is foaming all over the place. Dr. Cam is concerned it might be a brain tumor and there isn't anything that we can do for that. he will stay in a cage tonight just to make sure he is better in the morning. the bad thing is, my vet is going away starting Sat and won't be back for 10 days and there is only one other vet over at the hospital that deals with ferrets and she is there on a limited basis. Please send prayers for this sweet little man. He is going to need them, i think. As you can see, these ferrets need lots of care and medical assistance. Anyone that would like to donate to the medical fund can do so by send through paypal or calling the hospital with their donation. I would love to see all of the adrenal kids get their surgeries and be healthy and loved and live their lives out happy. The paypal acct is [log in to unmask] and the hospital's phone number is 775-782-3693 and the acct is Clinton Turney. If you would like to send a check, please email me and I will give you the address of the hospital. Thanks everyone that has helped these little ones. I truly warms my heart when the ferret people come through for these wonderful loving animals. Hugs to all your little ones. Have a great day. Linda [Posted in FML 6277]
