Kat: I have a Hunter HEPAtech that I use, that I really like a lot, after trying a lot of other kinds. It's mid-sized, so you can either set it on the floor or up an a table. There are no movable parts exposed, so there's nothing that can harm anyone - including ferrets - anywhere on it. It uses 2 filters on the inside - a carbon-type pre-filter, & a HEPA filter, that you replace when they're expired. There's a counter on it, so you know what percentage it's at, & how soon you need to replace the filter. It also has 3 speeds, so you can adjust it as needed. There's also an ionizing setting that you can turn on or off as you wish. It's model # 30379. I got mine at Menards for about $100. I'm sure you can get it at other home improvement store, or perhaps order it online from Hunter. I really do notice a difference w/ mine, & so do others who come to our house. I'm not allergic to my ferrets, but I don't do dust well, & for me, it helps a lot. Good luck ~ Lin, Max, Puck, Ivan, & Mason ~ Missing my angel Ariel - 20 April 2000 - 20 January 2007.
