The traditional diet for working ferrets (rabbit hunters) in the UK was bread soaked in milk. I'm not saying it was a good diet. It was abysmal, and I imagine it often resulted in long-term malnutrition. But it does show that such a thing is possible; that ferrets are not actually poisoned by food not suitable for an obligate carnivore. -Claire [Posted in FML 6235]
