I agree with the several posts that suggest we all cease to respond to any & all posts by Edward Aren't-I-Cuteinsky.. err.. Lipinsky. Roary put it best when he posted "You remind me of a ten year old boy who's trying to impress the girl next door by showing her how to burn bugs with a magnifying glass." However, I am not so sure that he "...just can't understand why she keeps running away screaming." Since he is not a 10 year old boy (we assume), he must be aware that posting things like "Ferrets will kill just for the love of it." on a news group comprised of animal-lovers is going to be inflammatory. At various times he has professed to have first-hand knowledge & skills in a wide variety of professions, including animal husbandry, pharmacology, microbiology, pathology, & most recently - entomology. Hmm - call me a "doubting Thomas". In any event, perhaps we are all just part of his current experiments in group psychology? If so, let us comport ourselves well. We should NOT stop reading the FML; we should just stop responding to ANYTHING posted by Mr. L. Really, if he truly possesses the emotional immaturity of a 10 year old, he needs a good long "time-out". (While I'm sure a few of you would prefer to stake him in his yard without food for 3 days, let's agree that two wrongs don't make a right) If conversely (& less charitably), it IS his intention to upset & anger us, then he is a psychological sadist who should not be rewarded for his perverse behavior. As an "Old Hippie", I know that passive resistance (You youngsters can ask Grandma & Grandpa about "sit-ins") does not produce immediate results, but given time it does effect change. In keeping with the current topic of ferrets that cannot hear, let us teach Mr. L. something new - that "silence is deafening". Come on, people - we can do this! And my final word on this subject is... DOOKS! Lisa & Effe (the Extra Fine Ferret Extraordinaire) [Posted in FML 6223]
