I would like to thank Tara and the gentleman who also wrote of the flooded shelter. Both of you led me to donate towards kibble for the ferrets that had to be removed from the flood waters. Tara...you are such a big hearted wonder. Thank you for the pics of the area. I thought I was looking at a lake at first. I was thinking...what is this really? Is this just a pic of a lake? That feeling of being burned in the past came up and bit me in the posterior. Sorry Tara. That was my very first thought. You were getting the pics from someone I do not know. It is a shame to have to have felt that way. But then you wrote that you were sure of this. The video then convinced me that despite having that burned feeling from a past experience involving a huge shelter rescue some time ago, that this was an urgent matter. I was trying not to cry watching the video. There was no syrupy music in the background to make my eyes well up with moisture. Here was a stunned shelter mom standing in her hip boots in what was once her lovely shelter. I could tell it was a great place despite the flood in that shelter. And the cages are the best. I am glad they were able to be pulled from the wreckage of the shelter. I donated to S.O.S. It is only enough money to feed over 100 shelter ferrets for about 3 days. I specified it was to only go for kibble for this shelter. Save Our Shelters is one of the groups that can help, and any money sent is a tax deduction. If you can help.. Lacy takes credit or debit cards over the telephone (360-707-2739 .... Cell 360-661-1718 ) Her e/mail is [log in to unmask] She can accept packages and letters of kindness at her moms home Lacy Ruddell 11676 Pulver Rd. Burlington, Washington 98233. Her paypal should be ferretruddell78 Lacy is also 501C3 http://nationalferretrescue.org/ is the group where you can get updates. If you are feeling quezy about donating because you want your hard earned money to go where you want it to go, perhaps SOS would be kind enough to be sure of that, as they have done for me. Kibble and litter for over 100 ferrets will never NOT be an issue of importance for at least the next few weeks. Thank you to all who have been of assistance. [P.S.] Sorry. I am warming my car and trying to get out of here on this arctic like day. But it just dawned on me that as an old fart, I am used to the name and group called S.O.S. The group F.E.R.R.E.T may prefer you help the flooded sister out via their group. I thank SOS for allowing me to help through them. [Posted in FML 6213]
