Here at our rescue we still think its Christmas.. All 36 ferrets have brand new bedding in their cages.. and toys.. We receive so many toys. that some are still in the packages waiting for fuzzy's to get tried of the ones I gave them. Today was another great day Thanks to Fox Valley and SOS we received close to 200 pounds of ferret food. This will keep them fed. This food came at a perfect time. I was getting a little worried about the cost of food for my fuzzy kids..We didn't start the new year out very good. First my husbands Truck broke down blown head gasket. (couldn't be a cheap repair).. Than he goes to use my car since I rarely drive anymore that was okay. The second day he goes to use to go get the parts for the truck it won't start. So now we are depending on others for transportation. And seeing its right after the holidays money is tight. So with the gifts from the Santa's and the shipment of food the only thing I have to worry about is paying for wood pellets. And I pray no one get sick.. Gee I thought all my human kids were grown LOL ...Having a ferret rescue is like running a day care..Our Kitchen looks like a kids play grown .. Tubes and toys everywhere... Every one here gets out everyday for play time... and they make the most of it.. I have no volunteers I do this all by myself and love these kids. We receive 5 more ferrets on Sunday and would like to take this time to Thank Deb & Mark from Deb's Ferret Rescue and shelter They took two off my hands leaving me three from that group... From a group of eight that came in they took 4 of those. A big thank you to Deb & Mark ... Cages are running short here. But we turn no one away... Next Month I will start putting a little money aside for shots. The second best part about being a rescue is the kindness I have receive from Ferret people.. Once again I say thank you to all who have supported our kids..... Vickie Lusk Fuzzy Friends Ferret Rescue [log in to unmask] [Posted in FML 6206]
