I am a long time reader of the FML; my husband is generally the poster. Many of you recently were looking for remembrance/memorial bottles to keeps ashes of pets in that have crossed the bridge. I had been making Fairy Doors, Houses, and Fairy/Wish bottles to help supplement costs of the ferret rescue and wildlife work we do from our home. I generally sell them only at the Renaissance Faire every year, or by word of mouth, since I make them in my "spare time" and don't have a huge supply of them in store. I was told I should consider putting some of my bottles on Ebay or list them somewhere to sell because they are quite a bit less expensive than many of the memorial jars and pendants on the market. I make two sizes of bottles, the smaller is 1 1/2" tall and the larger is 2 3/4" tall. Those are the actual bottle heights; the stoppers vary in size depending on how they are made and what they are made of... and yes, they do open. Either size would be able to hold a small amount of ashes. They would be perfect for those of us who have had many treasured pets in our lives to be able to keep a small remembrance of each pet in it's own distinct bottle. They would look nice sitting on a shelf or tucked away in a jewelry box. Some of our friends have turned them into necklaces. Because of the fact that my husband and I are busy with the animals and life in general our rescue website Fuzzyconnection.com is the last thing to get updated. We are trying to set up a web cam to be able to show people what we have on hand in real time. That way we don't have to worry about always taking down sold items... We ask for patience with that. :o) In the meantime I have some of both sizes listed on Ebay . with Christmas coming they would make great gifts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323035133 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323040358 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323044442 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323047282 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323053590 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220323055413 Please put me on your watch list as I will be putting more up as interest is shown.
