We have a ferret who periodically vomits. It has only happened 5 - 6 times in the last couple months or so. She is about 3-4 years old has been fixed and desented (Marshall). Appears to be in good health (plays, dances etc). She is alert and curious. The only difference is this fall she has gotten bigger without any weight gain. We had two last year that did the same thing. We took her to our vet who is ferret knowledgeable and he checked her over and couldn't find anything. We attributed her vomiting to the dental gel we were using for teeth cleaning because it seemed like her vomiting was the night after we cleaned teeth. We stopped using the dental gel and she didn't vomit anymore, until last night. We cleaned teeth a couple nights ago with just water and that was a couple nights ago. I'm worried that it may be a tumor or something. Does anyone have any ideas that could help? She does not appear sick in any way except for this occasional vomiting, but ferrets are so good at hiding illness. She is a smart little girl who loves to explore. None of our other ten ferrets are having any problems and they all eat and play in the same area. They all get the same treats. Thank you Mike [Posted in FML 6131]
