I'm so sorry about your ferret....we almost lost a ferret with
something very similar a few years ago. The x ray showed so much gas
that no one was sure at first what to do..luckily our vet at the time
also treated farm animals. I guess this is something that cows often
suffer from and there is a tool...almost a funnel... that when put in
the mouth and throat it actually burps them. She had to make one to
fit our ferret and from what we remember was a tubing of sorts....she
put our ferret out, inserted this make shift appliance and it worked
to take all the gas from him immediately....he went back in to x ray
and his stomach was now normal....it was amazing! I have the vets new
number..she has moved but I know would be more than happy to explain
this to your vet. Please mail me and I will provide you her number....
